Paving the Way Out of Homelessness

As many of you know, we just moved to a bigger building that we built with the help of your donations in order to accommodate more residents. What you may not know is that along with moving to a completely new site we also had to pave our new parking lot.

Donations have been a very important part of contructing our new building and paving our new parking lot. By paving the parking lot we have:

  • Made parking spots easier to see
  • Made it so that we can accommodate more cars with designated parking spots
  • Made it smoother for people who have disabilities
  • Made it easier to get transportation to and from the shelter for our residents

While paving a parking lot may not seem like it is a huge achievement, being able to to pave our parking lot means that people are donating to us to help us give our residents the first step toward their new lives. It also makes the organization look more professional for the residents that live here and for future residents looking to stay here. In a very real way, then: paving our parking lot is paving a way out of homelessness.Although this project seems larger than something any one individual can accomplish on their own, there are various ways to contribute to your local community. Even the smallest donation or volunteer effor adds up to bigger moments later.Thank you to all of those who care about our community and who wish to give back to those in need!
