Cutting Through Homelessness

On September 30, 2015 we had our official ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of our new building. We are the only shelter of our kind in Pitt County, and with this new building, the volume of space for our residents is increasing. The new shelter holds 110 people and boasts over 15,000 sq. feet of room. There's still room to grow, however.

The momentous occasion, which was covered by local news channel WITN 7,.is a step in the right direction for breaking the cycle of chronic homelessness in Pitt County. The added benefits of the new facility will allow Community Crossroads Center the opportunity to better serve our residents. The new building includes a family center, and separate rooms for men and women. The shelter has already realized the benefits of the new building by cutting its utility bill by about 13%.There is always time to celebrate a triumph in the fight against chronic homelessness, but in order for us to continue our fight, we need the help of people just like you. If you want to help us abolish homelessness in Pitt County, make a tax-deductible donation or commit to volunteering today.
