Local North Carolina artist William Mangum has for years celebrated the natural beauty of his home state through paintings of landscapes and sceneries highlighting urban, rural, and some of the most beloved scenery in North Carolina. While getting recognized both Nationally and Internationally for his works of art, Mr. Mangum had a memorable friendship between himself and a local homeless man, who he later took in and cared for till his death. This relationship later influenced the artist to launch an annual campaign, The Honor Card, promoting a single painting intended to raise awareness and funds for the needy across the state. Since the campaign’s launch in 1988, it has raised over five million dollars in donations.
The Community Crossroads Center is a participating agency and would love you to help distribute Honor Cards and raise funds for our agency to help aid the homeless community in the Greenville area.
