The Business Pirates, a group of students from East Carolina University, recently donated supplies to the shelter that they had gathered together for the residents. The items included toiletries, laundry detergent, and paper products. With the amount of meals served at the center, the paper products were a great gift to receive; with the amount of traffic that comes in and out of the center, the toiletry items and laundry detergent will help the residents feel clean and fresh for the next day.Over the years, many student organizations, teams, and clubs have contributed to the shelter. We are continuously thankful for the support of these students who are donating their time and effort in order to make a difference within the city of Greenville. These young people within our community have taken initiative in helping the Community Crossroads Center better the lives of those less fortunate.Not only does the CCC welcome monetary donations, but we also are in need of supply donations for the residents of the shelter. The items we currently need most include:
- White Twin Fitted Sheets
- White Towels
- Coffee
- Toilet Paper, Paper Towels
- Blankets
Whenever we receive a donation of any sort, it goes directly into helping the shelter run as smoothly as possible. The shelter is always in need of supplies such as common household items. That's why we encourage all local community groups to donate supplies if they have the time and resources to do so.
