Six-year-old first grader, Miss Heart of the USA, Little Miss Pitt County, Kaylee Joyner loves helping people. Kaylee recently decided that she wanted to help fight homelessness in her hometown of Greenville by collecting items to donate to Community Crossroads Center. She only started collecting items three weeks ago and has already collected over eighty items! Most of the items Kaylee collected are toiletries like toothbrushes, body wash, medicines, and toothpaste. She has also collected useful items like underwear and diapers. Kaylee has to do community service projects for her pageant titles and has decided that she wants to keep collecting items to donate to the Center for all of her service. She has been collecting items through word-of-mouth and through her mom’s social media page on Facebook. Kaylee is a first grader at Eastern Elementary School and aside from collecting donations for non-profits, she also loves baton twirling and visiting nursing homes.Community Crossroads Center is always in need of supplies for the residents of the shelter.
