Searching for a new Executive Director

The Greenville Community Shelters, Inc. (DBA Community Crossroads Center), is seeking a motivated and caring Executive Director to continue the implementation of the agency’s mission. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the agency organization including budget, service delivery, measurable outcomes, physical plant, staff supervision and development, fundraising, grant writing and community relations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of issues related to homelessness, best practices for effective shelter operations, sound fiscal and fund development practices as well as nonprofit management. The Executive Director must be organized and have the ability to plan and coordinate agency activates, communicate effectively orally and in writing; provide guidance to service partners, governmental agencies, and work effectively with staff, volunteers, clientele, and the public.A College Degree plus other schooling in Public Administration, Social Work or related field required. Masters preferred, but may substitute 4 years of progressive related work. Also prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience managing homeless services or similar activities, and at least 2 years managing a homeless shelter or similar work.Greenville Community Shelters, Inc. is a 501©3 charitable nonprofit agency that was founded in 1988. Our Mission is to “To serve the homeless and those at risk of homelessness by providing safe housing, and assisting them in developing a long term plan that leads to self-sufficiency”.
