Dear Community Crossroads Center Family, As we start this New Year, I want to take some time to reflect on the incredible year we had in 2015, as well as highlight some of the things to look forward to in 2016!As we start this New Year, I want to take some time to reflect on the incredible year we had in 2015, as well as highlight some of the things to look forward to in 2016!We had a lot of big events in 2015 and they were all very important successes for Community Crossroads Center. One of our biggest events was our Honor card fundraiser in December. Thanks to the many of you that donated your time and money, we completely sold out of the 2,700 cards! This fundraiser was very important to us and it was a big success. 100% of the proceeds go to our Operational account to enable us to serve the homeless in Greenville and Pitt County.InIn September we had our Community Partner Luncheon. During the meeting we talked about all the different accomplishments we achieved this year, especially the building of our brand new facility. We also wanted to educate the community on our up and coming events and our vision for the community. Thanks to our meeting, we learned some very valuable feedback on what we shouldn't do and things we should continue to do for the community. We're also proud to announce that we had 50 of our community partners attend the luncheon. The opening of Independence Road in July was a great step for our organization. The apartments in our old administrative building help our residents (and others in need) take the next step to being self-sufficient again. I also want to thank the many volunteers that helped make repairs to our apartments. In August, we had our Ribbon Cutting for our brand new facility. Without out the help from the community we could’ve never completed this very important project. We are now able to hold up to 110 people and have 15,000 sq. feet of room to work with. Since our new building opened, we've been able to save on our utility bills which go right back to helping our residents.I don't want to give too much away for the New Year but I do want to announce that we will be having our April Dinner Fundraising Event sometime in April. We also will be selling Honor Cards again this holiday season! Our biggest need for the New Year is monetary support. I want to thank you all for what you do for us but with the holiday season ending we really need some help from the community.Becoming a “Friend of the Center” helps us out a lot. My next goal for the Center is to help us get sustainable funding. For more information on our needs or how to donate visit us our donate page. I know I’ve said thank you a lot in this letter but I can't say it enough. Without your support we couldn't operate. From the people who send us $25 through our Friend of the Center program our generous business donors, I want to personally say thank you. No donation of time and money is ever too small. Thank you for continuing to believe in the work we do here.Yours Truly,Bob Williams
