Homelessness Church Teachings: 20 Years of Service From the Greenville Church of God

The Greenville Church of God is one of the many churches that provides dinner for our residents each night. Their members have been bringing meals to the Community Crossroads Center for over twenty years. These individuals embody homelessness church teachings and are living lessons to all members of our community. We currently have around 85 guests each night. Without the meals sponsored by our many community partners, we would not be able to feed our residents each night.

The constant donations of food, and the volunteers that deliver it, allows our facility to cut cost in our areas of need. Donations of any type, food or monetary donations, allow our cost to house residents to decrease. It costs approximately $25 to house just one resident for one night. With an average of 85 residents a night our costs add up quickly. If you look below we have provided the information of about how much cost we incur on average per year on housing our residents alone.$25 x 85 average residents a night x 365 days = $775,625 Your donations help us lower this annual cost and allow us to provide other necessary resources to our residents that we could not afford without generous people like you. With such large expenses every year and without your donations we could not cover the cost of housing our residents. We are also always looking for volunteers to serve food to our residents. Volunteers at breakfast time are our biggest need. However, we welcome volunteers at other times as well. Our Center is the only local homeless shelter in Greenville, NC and we are continually striving to help our residents get back on their feet and into good living conditions. Thanks to contributions from members of the Greenville Church of God, among many others, we are one step closer to helping our residents reclaim their lives. Your generosity and thoughtfulness are never overlooked. We appreciate all of our donors and volunteers and we cannot express that enough!
