A Big Thank You To……..

We would like to send a huge thank you to Mrs. Elizabeth S. Marrow and Minister Tracey Ross, M.Div. with the Women's Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina . They held a Convention on Saturday, January 11, 2020, and each member from the churches that attended donated everything that is listed on our wish list. Thank you to all that participated in this wonderful blessing.  The pictures do not do this justice, as this is half of what has been donated.  Again, thank you f...

Year of the Volunteer 2019

It has been said many times and many ways, but let us say it again, Volunteers are the backbone and life blood of Community Crossroads Center.  The Shelter would not be able to operate without the efforts of so many that give so much of themselves.  Thank you. Here is a sampling of the Year of the Volunteer 2019.

The Spirit of Christmas

'Tis the Season of Sharing and Giving and Elizabeth Iannace was filled with the spirit.  When it was her birthday she requested that her party guests bring gifts for the children at the Shelter rather than for her.  Then she and her family wrapped the gifts and delivered them on Christmas Eve.  What a wonderful way to share the Spirit of Christmas!

LaMare & Chloe Rouse

LaMare and his sister, Chloe, completed a Winter Service Project that will help to serve the citizens of Pitt County. Thank you LaMare and Chloe for your generous support of our shelter. We love to see our younger generation showing so much compassion for those less fortunate. There is always time to celebrate a triumph in the fight against chronic homelessness, but in order for us to continue our fight, we need the help of people just like you. Greenville Chamber of Commerce Leadership leading the way in generosity.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute participated in a day to "Do Random Acts of Kindness" and choose to spread some of that kindness at the Shelter. Leadership Group B came with baskets in hand filled with blankets, towels, socks, hats and personal hygiene items. Leadership Group C brought some elbow grease and worked outside cleaning the grounds around the Shelter. Thank you to both groups and to the Chamber of Commerce.

Seniors Sharing at the Shelter

The Moyewood Senior Citizen Club visited the Shelter today and brought some much needed items.  They donated clothes, toiletries, socks, gloves, hats, scarves, paper plates, and backpacks.  Now that the weather is getting colder, coats, hats, gloves, scarves and long underwear are in great demand at our Community Clothing Closet. Donations such as these help the Shelter serve the Residents with their basic needs and some extras as well.  It costs on average $25 per day per person here at the ...

ECU Class is taking care of Business

A team of ECU students, led by Jaclyn Burrows, from Mrs. Winkler's BUSI 2200 class had to conduct a community project of their choosing and prepare a presentation on what they did.  They decided to do a Supply Drive for CCC and requested personal care items, paper goods, and warm clothing.   They also hosted a GoFundMe page to raise money to help purchase additional items to add to those collected.  The total they collected was $235.  This is the second year the team chose CCC for a community pr...

Greenville Rotary Club racking it up at the Community Clothes Closet

The Community Clothes Closet has two new clothes racks provided by the Greenville Rotary Club.   These racks were very needed for the overflow of generous donations of clothing that we are receiving.  The winter coats that we are currently collecting, which are heavy and need strong support have found a place to hang with the three heavy-duty clothes racks donated by the Rotary Club.   The Greenville Rotary Club has been very generous to CCC over the years including furniture for the dining hall...
